Festive start of Innocent factory

On Wednesday 18 September 2019 Smoothie maker Innocent celebrated the start of the new factory to be built in the port of Rotterdam. Mayor Aboutaleb welcomed Innocent CEO Douglas Lamont at the Kop van Beer on the Caland Canal. Innocent will be the first to establish itself at the Rotterdam Food Hub, the large new business park on the Caland Canal that the Port of Rotterdam Authority has specially designed to optimally facilitate companies in the “agri-food” sector.

Over four years, work has been done on the construction plans for the new factory. Sustainability is a high priority in all phases of the project. Innocent changes the traditional way of building, designing and running a factory. By using reusable energy, using water in a sustainable manner and considering waste as a resource, innocent reduces the CO2 emissions of the new plant.

Aronsohn Constructies provided the complete structural design and specifications, as well as detailed drawings and calculations for the concrete structures.
